Thank you so much. It was really important for me to get this one right-- I don't know how much I'll be playing in that fandom-- the source is so dense (they don't call it The Brick for nothing!) that it's hard to find any niches in which to play-- and my love for these characters stems in large part from what becomes of them. I feel like there's not a whole lot of room for leeway if I want to be "true" to them. So I wanted to make this story "count." And I wanted to do them justice.

I really hope you read the book-- if only the chapters pertaining to Les Amis. And within that, if only the chapters..
* "A GROUP WHICH BARELY MISSED BECOMING HISTORIC" (which describes all the Amis)
*ENJOLRAS AND HIS LIEUTENANTS (Which is a great E/G vignette)

The bulk of the barricade story takes place within THE WAR BETWEEN FOUR WALLS. The chapters are all quite short but dense. And gut-wrenching. There are so many absolutely incredible moments that bring these characters to life. I wish someone would just make a movie/musical about this subplot on its own.

...But the most important is the one that will really break your heart. And I really do mean it will Really. Break. Your. Heart:
ORESTES FASTING AND PYLADES DRUNK

Talk about weeping. Oh, Enjolras. Oh Grantaire.

Thanks for reading-- I was really hoping you would.
