It's moving....slowwwwly. I have put the prologue absolutely through the wringer and am really happy with it, but I'm wondering if I should hold off until I've gotten a little further along so I don't have to go back and retroactively change anything.

I'm also attempting to work more systematically-- I've got a ridiculous spreadsheet which outlines every single scene. Tedious as hell, but it also breaks it out into more digestible bits. I don't have to write a whole *chapter,* just a single scene. But that also means I'm writing some scenes out of order as the whim strikes me, and they're rather useless out of context. All of this is a giant new learning curve for me, but hopefully one that will pay off.

Eventually.

Writing is hard, dammit! I'm glad I was so ignorant of this fact when I started out or I never would have put pen to paper, so to speak. :P
