I cannot express how very much I enjoyed this story, Kenaz. It is beautifully crafted, as always, and it has such a sense of heart, of the caring not only of friends and lovers for one another, but also of the deep, protective love of a father for the child he knows will leave him. I loved Elrohir's communion with Eärendil and Legolas' use of the stars to guide his blinded companion, the sense of optimism and good humor that Elrohir kept despite his injury...oh, and Haldir, too! And like everyone else, I adored the ending.

A beautiful, completely engaging tale.
