Well, I got as far as Thranduil, but so far there's just nothing at all in the Hobbit that is registering on my personal slash meter. :(


Behind the cell bars, he dwarf's eyes met and held his balefully and with beleaguered pride. There had been less steel in Thorin Oakenshield's beard when Thranduil had first seen him, stalwart and proud at his grandfather's shoulder, perhaps even then knowing something of Thrain's incipient madness. Thranduil was no stranger to rash fathers, nor to the compelling lust for gold.

His torch flickered and flashed against the stones of the cavern walls, and he thought once more of Erebor, and his visit there long ago, when some tenuous regard still stretched between their houses. They were more alike-- he, an Elven king, and his scruffy Dwarven prisoner-- than he wished to admit.
