Fucking FF.net.
Jul. 2nd, 2013 10:28 pmLogged into my account for the first time in aaaaaages (I only have my Les Mis ficlet up there and was attempting to respond to a review... am I a moron that I can't even figure out how to navigate the site? I digress.) Found a year-old PM in my inbox once again accusing me of plagiarism. I wish I had seen it then and responded to it; a year's worth of silence sounds like an admission of guilt.
Suffice it to say, for the record, I have NEVER plagiarized any of my fellow writers. For the love of Haldir, I hope that those of you who have known me and followed me since 2003 (or, hey, 2005 for Marchwarden), who saw my stories when they were first posted, will stand by me on this. You were there; you read the stories, you commented. You know those were my words.
Should anyone stumble across any accusations that I have behaved in an inappropriate manner, please ask them to contact me directly. They are the reason I stopped writing for nearly a year. They are the reason I have all but entirely removed myself from fandom (this summer's schedule notwithstanding). They are the reason my longer stories are no longer public.
Of all the things I have written, the two Marchwarden stories are my absolute favorite, and now they are tainted by a whiff of dishonesty. This absolutely kills me.
I feel hugely betrayed; a decade of goodwill I have accumulated has been obliterated in a few strokes of someone else's pen.
To say my feelings are hurt would be the understatement of the century.
