Your descriptions of the journey and the encounters with the yrch were wonderfully authentic. The fight, with Legolas having to shout directions to blind but deadly Elrohir, was particularly good. I loved the innovation of using star positions to guide him.
The spider was - oh so good! (sorry, I love giant spider attacks, unfortuante quirk of mine)
And this, the whole agony of Arwen's choice wrapped in one small paragraph, left me with gooseflesh. *Arwen hears it not at all, though the sight of gulls winging over Minas Tirith pains her.
