In your own space, talk about why you are doing the Fandom Snowflake Challenge? What drew you to it as a participant? What do you hope to accomplish by doing these challenges? Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.


I'm participating this year because I haven't in the past, and I've seen how much others have enjoyed it. It's also been a rough end-of-year (following a decent first-half-of 2015, and an absolutely GODAWFUL 2014) so I'm trying to start off with something positive to clear my head. Trying to get back in the flow of writing again, and being more participatory and outwardly-focused in the creative culture, rather than just sitting back and feeling frustrated when others don’t acknowledge my own contributions.

So, you know, making it less about me, and more about YOU.

I hear you on bad years, and how that translates into a desire to cling to the good things of fandom culture...

*cheers you on* I hadn't planned to participate, not wanting to start the year wtih too many commitments again, but seeing how many on my flist are doing it I think I'm doing it too - starting with a delay right away as I'm too knackered today to do it now. *g* When I did it for the first and only time two or three years ago, it worked for me just like you hope it wil for you, so the best of luck for that!
