kenaz: Kenaz, 6th rune of the Elder Futhark, the symbol of fire and light, both literal and figurative. (Haldir: Fall's Guard)
So, a while back, I wrote 4 stories under a different pseudonym.  At the time, I had Reasons-- ever feel like you just want to fly under the radar a little bit? Or avoid drama? Or try something a little out of your creative comfort zone?-- but with the passage of years, it just seems silly, so I've combined the accounts in AO3 and am taking public ownership of them. Somehow I doubt this will be news to anyone. I just hope no one feels terribly misled. :(

So, without further ado or justification, I bring you the works of the author formerly known as [livejournal.com profile] eidolon_writes.

The Sentiment of Steel
Glorfindel/Ecthelion, R. Written for [livejournal.com profile] trekqueen, 2013 Sultry in September.
The Sentiment of Steel, or "Sentiment du Fer": a fencer’s ability to use his sword to feel and manipulate the opponent’s sword. A concept with which Glorfindel and Ecthelion are far too familiar.

A Crown of Green Leaves
Haldir/Legolas, PG-13. Written for [livejournal.com profile] ignoblebard for the 2012 LOTR SESA.
An unexpected visitor arrives in Eryn Galen at Midwinter with more than just foul weather following on his heels.

Feather and Fetch
Beleg/Haldir, PG-13. Written for [livejournal.com profile] iavalir, Ardor in August 2012
Haldir must look to his past to see his future.

Stronger Counsel
Legolas/Boromir, hard R, darker themes.
Written for [livejournal.com profile] rubyelf for the 2012 Sons of Gondor Trick-or-Treat exchange.
In Rivendell,
Isildur’s Bane has indeed awoken, and Boromir has begun to feel its insidious pull...
kenaz: Kenaz, 6th rune of the Elder Futhark, the symbol of fire and light, both literal and figurative. (Haldir: Fall's Guard)
While we're cleaning out the vaults, here's an MSV fic written in 2012, which was left up barely long enough for the proverbial ink to dry. At the time, I had a viscerally negative reaction to it, and felt it fell far short of the epic I had envisioned. I intended to re-work it and give it it's full due, but, as in so many other cases, failed to get it done. Since it's a gift-fic, it really should have been left to stand, but done's done. It's here again now, better late than never.

While this piece stands alone, it can also be taken as an introduction to Elemmakil in my Marchwarden universe, but no knowledge of those stories is necessary.

Fountain, Flower, Sword
Glorfindel/Ecthelion (-ish), Ecthelion/Elemmakil. Written for [livejournal.com profile] marchwriter.
“Everyone knows the heart of Ecthelion is as cold as ice. Only the quest for vengeance heats his blood.” Glorfindel’s words were delivered as a jest, but he knew as soon as he heard them ringing from his mouth that he had failed to disguise the bitterness that colored them.

Ok, maybe NOW I can write something new. :/
